Miriam and Neil Rosewarne have been studying Martial Arts since 1989. Their interest in the Soft Style Internal Martial Arts led them to Taiwan to seek out one of the true Masters in the field of Internal Kung Fu.

Their personal instructor and mentor Master Wang Fu Lai of Taiwan gave them the opportunity to study under his guidance and adapt the many martial art skills required to teach this particular system.

Miriam and Neil now offers the Cheng Ming system at their own school in Wattle Glen, Victoria, Australia.In addition to this, a mobile service is offered to schools, clubs, community centres,  sports centres, corporate business and the private sector.

Miriam and Neil were honored in 2001 by Master Wang Fu Lai for acceptance as his “indoor pupils”. They are  "third generation students" in direct lineage of the legendary Grandmaster Wang Shu Chin, the founder of International Cheng Ming of Taiwan.

This is a huge honour to be bestowed on any westerner. They are fully qualified to teach the Cheng Ming system in Australia.

Miriam and Neil are official representatives in Australia of the International Cheng Ming Association Chinese Martial Arts based in Taiwan. It is a worldwide organisation.

In September 2008, Miriam and Neil travelled to Taiwan to compete in the very first International Martial Arts Championships within the Cheng Ming system. This was held in Nantou province. Catergories entered were Tai Chi, Hsing-I, Weapons and Ba Gua. Between them, Miriam and Neil won 7 medals. One gold, three silver and 3 bronze. Countries that competeted were Australia, Taiwan, America, Japan, New Zealand and Israel.

There were 220 competitiors, male and female of all age groups.

In March 2011, Miriam and Neil completed exams in Taiwan in Taiching City. They were individaully judged by five qualified judges in the Hsing-I system.

Twenty eight different patterns of Hsing-I were demonstrated.

Miriam attained a Certificate as "Assistant Coach" directly instructed by Master Wang Fu Lai.

Neil attained a Cerificate as "Certified Coach" for the Hsing-I system.
