Qi Gong is the mother of the internal martial arts.

The "chi" that is created by Qi Gong practice is the life energy that unties the body, the mind and the spirit.

If the "chi" is strong, balanced, focused and flowing freely throughout, the body will be in good health.

If "chi" is blocked or stagnet, ill health will result.
Qi Gong is a stand form meditation that is incorporated in the training program. It promotes a holistic approach through relaxation and exercises whilst in a standing position. These sets are known in Chinese as "Zhan Zhuang". These are fundamental to developing proper posture and conditioning. As a student learns to relax and become comfortable with the postures, they gradually become more aware that their breathing is deeper and body is generating enormous energy. The meditation improves the sensitivity of a student to both external and internal movement.

The postures and arm movements cultivates vital enregy into the major organs. Qi Gong creates increased blood supply to flow through the meridians to the five major organs being the heart, liver, spleen, kidneys and lungs.

In its functional way, Qi Gong strengthens the internal organs, exercises the joints and muscles and promotes enormous energy.

You will feel refreshed, replenished and relaxed.

The feeling of well-being reduces stress, anxiety and fear. It is especially effective to those who suffer depression and other mental illness. Qi Gong has a strengthening and immunizing influence on the body as it activates the flow of energy through all the meridians in the body. (life channels.)
