Tai Chi Chuan
A form of meditation in motion, characterised by soft, slow, flowing movements that emphasize gentleness and energy, rather than force and strength. Muscles become toned, but not tense. Bones become thicker and stronger. Tissue becomes soft and supple. This allows "chi" to build in the belly thus improving, strength, vitality and health. This program provides you with the same euphoria of a long run, the cardiovascular benefit of moderate inpact aerobics and burns as many calories as downhill skiing.
Tai Chi Chuan is based on the "Tao Te Ching" and "I Ching" commonly called “chi”, an ancient theory designating a form of energy. In Chinese philosophy, a person becomes ill when the flow of chi becomes blocked. The practice of Tai Chi can release the blockage with a similar result to that of acupuncture.
